Christopher Jones, Chief Operating Officer

 

Mr. Jones holds a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, in Chicago, Illinois, which he earned in 1996. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts In Economics, cum laude, from the University of Akron. Before joining North Star Holdings, Mr. Jones served as Director Of Administration of a vertically integrated cannabis company with over 100 employees, multiple retail stores, and several indoor and outdoor cultivation facilities. Prior to retiring from the practice of law as a litigator to enter the cannabis business, Mr. Jones was a member of the New York, Georgia, and Missouri bars, as well as numerous federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

 

He was retained to represent many Fortune 100 companies in federal courts throughout his career, including Philip Morris, Monsanto, Solutia, Kawasaki, and RJR Nabisco. He also was appointed by courts as lead and co-lead counsel in numerous securities class actions and derivative cases, including those against Enron, Worldcom, Tyco, Cablevision, and multinationals such as Sadia and Aracruz. A native Ohioan, and longtime Chicagoan, he is proud to call Colorado his home.
